'La bohème' at the Semperoper Dresden

Benjamin Bernheim sings Rodolfo in Puccini's La bohème, on August 27 at the Semperoper Dresden. Mr. Bernheim recently received spectacular notices from audiences and critics alike for his portrayal of the role in Zurich:

"I always marvel at his rich column of sound, even from top to bottom . . . through “Che gelida manina,” his high notes soared.” (Rick Perdian, Seen and Heard International)

The Dresden cast includes Maija Kovalevska as Mimì, Emily Dorn as Musetta, and Markus Butter sings Marcello. Giampaolo Bisanti leads the Staatskapelle Dresden for this performance, featuring a revival of Christine Mielitz's production.
