Oratorio de Noël

A new broadcast has just been added to Mr. Bernheim's calendar: Oratorio de Noël from the Bayerische Staatsoper. Composed by Camille Saint-Saëns in 1858, the piece was premiered in Paris for Christmas when Saint-Saëns was the  organist at La Madeleine. Mr. Bernheim performs as the tenor soloist, and is joined by Ailyn Pérez as the soprano soloist, Tara Erraught as the mezzo soloist, Okka von der Damerau as the alto soloist, and Etienne Dupuis as the Baritone soloist. Antonello Manacorda conducts. The show will be broadcast for free worldwide on December 21st and 23rd at 20:15 CET via www.staatsoper.tv.

{This replaces Mr. Bernheim's performances as Rodolfo in La Bohème, originally scheduled for this period, but now cancelled due to the Covid-19 regulations put in place by the German government.}
