North American Debut

Mr. Bernheim makes his North American debut at the Lyric Opera of Chicago on March 3rd, when he sings the title role in Gounod's Faust. This is the tenor's second time singing the role which is likely to become a staple of his repertoire. Kevin Newbury directs the new production which uses sculpture by acclaimed American artist John Frame. This unique partnership allows audiences to experience this beloved French opera in a whole new way. Watch John Frame speak about his work on this opera here.

Mr. Bernheim is joined by Ailyn Pérez, who sings the role of Marguerite, Christian Van Horn, who sings the role of Méphistophélès, and Edward Parks, who sings the role of Valentin. Ana María Martínez joins the cast as Marguerite for the final show, on March 21st. Emmanuel Villaume conducts. Tickets can be purchased here.
