Des Grieux at the Opéra national de Paris

After a successful role debut as the title role in Massenet’s Werther, Benjamin returns to the Opéra National de Paris to perform the role of Des Grieux in another of Massenet’s operas, Manon, on February 23rd and 26th. Mr. Bernheim was hailed by Opéra Magazine as the “ideal” Des Grieux when he debuted the role at Opéra National de Bordeaux in 2019. He also recorded arias from both operas on his debut album with Deutsche Grammophon. This time, under the baton of Maestro James Gaffigan, Mr. Bernheim performs alongside Ailyn Pérez as Manon, Marc Labonnette as Monsieur de Brétigny, Jean Teitgen as Le comte des Grieux, and Andrzej Filończyk as Lescaut.
