Manon at Opéra national de Paris

Hailed as the "ideal" (Opéra Magazine) Des Grieux when he debuted the role last season at Opéra national de Bordeaux, Mr. Bernheim returns to the Opéra national de Paris for the second time this season in a new production of Manon. Bernheim also opened his season in Paris as Alfredo in La Traviata, singing opposite Pretty Yende in the title role, and Ludovic Tézier as Germont. The same team is reassembled for this cast, with Yende singing Manon and Tézier Lescaut. Dan Ettinger conducts, while French director Vincent Huguet directs this new production.

Bernheim recorded arias from both operas on his debut album with Deutsche Grammophon, which has been received with enthusiasm since its November 2019 release. Listen to him sing the aria Instant charmant … En fermant les yeux (Le rêve) live at the Yellow Lounge in Berlin here.

The run includes nine performances (with this cast), from February 29th to April 10th.

Tickets and additional information can be found here.
