Lucia di Lammermoor at the Salzburger Festspiele

Benjamin performs the role of Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor for the third time this season, this time at the Salzburger Festspiele. A role that he debuted at the Wiener Staatsoper in April, this season’s performances are the culmination of years of work on the role, including in the recording studio as he recorded Edgardo’s aria on his first solo album with Deutsche Grammophon 2019.

For this in concert performance of the opera on August 25th, Benjamin performs opposite soprano Lisette Oropesa in the title role, and fellow Frenchman Ludovic Tézier as Enrico Ashton. Daniele Rustioni leads the Wiener Philharmonic at the Grosses Festspielhaus.
