Faust at Opéra national de Paris

This Spring, Mr. Bernheim will return to Opéra National de Paris to perform the title role in Faust. He will be performing alongside soprano Ermonela Jaho, with whom he performed in concert at Prince Felipe Auditorium in Oviedo, Spain in 2019. The cast also includes Christian Van Horn, Florian Sempey, Michèle Losier, Sylvie Brunet, and Christian Helmer, and the performances will be conducted by Lorenzo Viotti.

This will be German director Tobias Kratzer’s debut production at Opéra National de Paris and it is set to be sophisticated, featuring staging and sets that will rotate “between today's world and the mysterious atmosphere of German romanticism.”

Although theaters remain closed in France, the performance will be recorded for a TV and movie theaters. It will be broadcast on France TV 5 on March 26th at 20:55 CET, and available after on CultureBox. Cinema broadcasts have yet to be announced.
