Role debut in Verdi’s “Requiem”


Mr. Bernheim makes his debut in the tenor role in Verdi’s Requiem on October 23rd at the Royal Opera House, conducted by Sir Antonio Pappano.  He is joined by the Bulgarian soprano Krassimira Stoyanova, American mezzo-soprano Jamie Barton, and Hungarian bass Gábor Bretz. This performance marks Mr. Bernheim’s first appearance at the Royal Opera House this season, and he returns in January to perform the leading tenor role in another work by Verdi: La Traviata. Last season, he made his house debut in the role of Rodolfo in La bohème, to rave reviews.
